Sign a PDF

Sign a PDF with a digital signature — the signature stays in the file

Drop a PDF into 1DOX, sign with Smart-ID, Mobile-ID or an ID card, and send it on. The signature is visible on the page and verifiable in any PDF reader.

Legally equal to a handwritten signature in every EU country (eIDAS QES).

A signed PDF that opens in any PDF reader.

A signed PDF, not a container

When the recipient does not know .asice or .bdoc files, send a PDF. 1DOX embeds the signature in the PDF itself (PAdES) and draws a visible stamp with the signer's name and time.

The file opens in Adobe Reader, a browser or on a phone like any other PDF. Adobe Reader also shows that the signature is valid.

Several signers on one PDF

Invite as many signers as you need. Each signature is added to the same file, each with its own stamp. The portal shows who has signed and who is still pending.

From Word to PDF

If the contract is in Word, add the .docx and 1DOX converts it to PDF. The original Word file is kept in case you need to edit it later.

Frequently asked questions

Is a PDF signature as valid as one in an .asice container?
Yes. Both are qualified electronic signatures (QES); only the file format differs.
Can I sign a PDF without creating an account?
Yes, you can add a PDF on the front page and start signing without an account. One is created for you when you sign.
Can a signed PDF be changed afterwards?
No. Any change after signing invalidates the signature, and a PDF reader will show it.
